Susan Stokes
![]() Sue in a demonstration on her "Abanico"
Sue fulfilled a life-long dream when she started riding again at the age of forty after sharing her desire to ride with her husband, Frank. Her passion for Spanish Horses came when she visited Spain in 2002 and purchased her first horse, Campero. Since then she has gone on to own and ride many horses but her special boy has always been "Abanico" with whom she regularly trains with Jill Day and has competed with good results. She now has a small, bespoke stud farm where she breeds top quality PRE's with the emphasis being on temperament, trainability and movement. She holds stock sired by Pinturero XX, son of five times national champion Rondeno, previously owned by the Bohorguez stud and trained to GP by our very own Carl Hester and the fabulous Guardiola stallion, previosuly owned by Villamazzarra, Ebanisto. As Frank put a limit on the amount of horses Sue is allowed to own, she now fulfills her passion by organising the clinics in Spain and Essex, offering advice and support, breeding, organising Tarma and she will often have one or two horses available for sale in the capacity of agent at her premises in Chelmsford, Essex. Sue can be contacted via telephone on 07713 597002 or email sue@ontel.net - please be warned though, although always very happy to chat, computers are not her strong point!! | Sharron Barber
![]() Sharron in Spain showing her moves!
Sharron was headhunted by Tarma in 2008 and, after a year of "gentle" persuasion and emotional blackmail, she finally succumbed to pressure and joined the team in September 2009. After a history in racing, Spanish Horses were a huge culture shock to her but she is now an invaluable member of the team who always manages to find time, is personable and efficient and is very good at developing client relationships and offering advice and support as well as making sure that all of the horses get the best care and attention. Note to all owners, horses in Sharron's care will not be "yours" any longer - all will be referred to as "hers"! Sharron can be contacted by telephone on 07826 525502 or via email on sharron@spanishhorsesuk.com Marian Manzano
![]() Marian - Lovely in every way!
Born in Barcelona in March 1974, at 8 years old she sat on her first horse and it was immediately very clear to her that she would dedicate all of her life to them! She has ridden and competed in dressage, jumping, cross country and Alta Escuela and worked with many breeds although her favourites are of course, the Pure Bred Spanish Horses.
She has being buying and selling horses for the last fourteen years and hopes to carry on for many more! Marian and Tarma first met in 2001 and have worked together since. If we cannot get to Spain to try or test horses, or the diary does not allow us to meet you there - Marian will do all of this and more! |
Lynette (Just Lynette!)
![]() Lynette on the 28yr old "Magpie"
Lynette is an invaluable member of the team who is always on hand to stand in, help out and muck in and generally be fabulous in every capacity whenever she is needed.
An avid horse lover and successful dog breeder, she has successfully trained and competed her cob "Magpie" who she has owned for around twenty years and is still going strong at the age of 28! We do strongly suspect though, that she would swap him for Rossi given half a chance! | Christine Kershaw
![]() Fulfilling her ambition to ride at GP on "Uranio"
Christine is a successful maritime lawyer who purchased her first Grand Prix stallion, Uranio III, through Spanish Horses UK in 2005. Since then she has fulfilled her dream in competing at Grand Prix and developed her very own stud farm with her breeding stock being housed on the premises of SHUK. You can visit her website and view her stock at www.equusvita.com but we will also be happy to deal with any enquiries as we know that Christine is a very busy lady! |
