Carl Hester

Carl Hester made his British team debut at the 1990 world games in Stokholm. He was then the youngest rider to make a British dressage team. Two years later he was Britains highest placed dressage rider making the final at Barcelona Olympics. He went on to represent Great Britain at European championship level in 1997 and 1999, making the final, after which he won three national Grand Prix championships in a row. Carl was back in the team in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and in 2004 was chosen to ride for Great Britain in the Athens Olympics. Carl has run his own training yard since 1993. Since then, his tally of national championships has risen to 32 and he has trained several horses to Grand Prix championship level.
